Catholicism entered Korea in 1784. Lee Seung-hun spreads the words with the brothers of Jung Yak-jong and Jung Yak-yong. The religion is used as an impetus for dispute between political parties so it becomes persecuted. During the Sin-yu Persecution, Ha-sang and Jung-eun avoid torture and surveillance and gather the parishioners, expanding the church's power. Lee Hang-ju, the illegitimate child of Lee Ji-yeon a high ranking official, rescues Jung-eun from danger and is drawn to her at first glance. Hang-ju and Jung-eun's fathers give their blessing to their marriage but one is executed for truth and the other becomes a high ranking official whom no one can approach. Jung-eun avoids Hang-ju's love for the truth and the teachings of the church. Hang-ju desperately chases after his love. When many parishioners disappear like dew on the gallows during the Roman Catholic persecution, Hang-ju receives the Holy Spirit.

牢獄鴛

 肯特·馬洛（蒙哥馬利·克里夫特 飾）因酒駕而入獄，并在牢中認識了搶劫犯約翰·摩根（切斯特·莫里斯 飾）和殺人犯機關槍布奇（華萊士·比里 飾）。性格軟弱的馬洛入獄第一晚便遭到了布奇的欺凌，隨后他與其他獄友也無法和諧相處，心懷不滿的他在警察密探的慫恿下想要通過抓住布奇和摩根的把柄的方式來提前出獄。性格暴躁的布奇無法忍受牢中惡劣的飲食條件，在餐廳慫恿所有犯人一起抗議，最終遭到壓制，布奇也因此被送往地牢，但他心中已打定主意要設法越獄。摩根性格狡猾，在獄中一直左右逢源，并因在獄中表現(xiàn)良好得到了提前出獄的假釋機會，就在他喜不勝收準備出獄之時，某個突然而來的事件永遠改變了他的命運。

 意大利導演費德里克．費里尼的中期經(jīng)典作《八部半》是其成熟高峰期作品，此后開始走向糜爛而至腐敗，偏于肉欲放縱和自我沉溺，像《費里尼之薩蒂尼康》（六九年）和本片，都是糜爛頹廢的出色力作。本片反映了十八世紀基督道德不振后的上流腐化放縱，費里尼盡情借題發(fā)揮，展現(xiàn)出精英文藝在人欲橫流下的腐爛情態(tài)。大情人卡薩諾華是在情場屢戰(zhàn)屢勝的“性斗士"，不斷獵艷，還參加造愛競賽。但這大情人苦于人人只重他的性愛能力，不重視他經(jīng)世濟民治國的才學。而且女人們對他都“有性無愛"，當他衰老得失去性魅力之后，就只能把一個機械女人當作夢中情人，很可悲可憐。
