 迪茲(加里·庫(kù)珀 Gary Cooper 飾)是一位小有成就的商人,早已經(jīng)衣食無(wú)憂(yōu)的他希望能夠從繁忙的事務(wù)中脫身,將時(shí)間更多的花費(fèi)在自己的興趣愛(ài)好之上。一筆價(jià)值兩千萬(wàn)的巨額遺產(chǎn)從天而降落到了迪茲的頭上,報(bào)社問(wèn)詢(xún)派來(lái)了記者芭比(琪恩·亞瑟 Jean Arthur 飾),希望她能夠從迪茲的身上挖掘出一些吸引眼球的新聞。剛開(kāi)始,芭比十分看不慣迪茲的處世為人,但隨著時(shí)間的推移,她漸漸被后者的善良和正直所吸引,兩人之間產(chǎn)生了浪漫的愛(ài)情。迪茲決定將得到的遺產(chǎn)用于幫助深陷貧困的人,這一舉動(dòng)遭到了律師約翰(Douglass Dumbrille 飾)的質(zhì)疑,他堅(jiān)定的認(rèn)為迪茲的腦袋可能出了什么問(wèn)題,甚至將他告到了法庭。

  任慕英(梁家輝 飾)是一個(gè)單親爸爸,以教授鋼琴來(lái)?yè)狃B(yǎng)女兒Ellen(蔡卓妍 飾)長(zhǎng)大??墒桥畠荷螧and 5后就變得越來(lái)越不聽(tīng)話(huà),令任慕英十分擔(dān)心。Ellen一直覺(jué)得爸爸十分“娘娘腔”,覺(jué)得自己就算有什么麻煩,爸爸也是不可靠的人。Ellen的同學(xué)都誤會(huì)了她的爸爸是個(gè)江湖高手——慕夜飛鷹,相繼要求拜為師傅,此時(shí)Ellen才對(duì)爸爸改觀。但任慕英被誤以為是絕招的身手,不過(guò)是在照顧女兒的時(shí)候練出來(lái)的。  女兒開(kāi)始覺(jué)得爸爸老了,可她還是到處惹禍,更被慕夜飛鷹的仇家脅持,任慕英為了救回女兒,獨(dú)自女兒被困的地方……

等待方舟

  Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.  Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?  n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.  What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.  On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.  One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.  Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

鬼馬朱唇

  音樂(lè)家西門(mén)(蔡楓華飾)生性風(fēng)流不羈,乘帶領(lǐng)樂(lè)團(tuán)赴韓演奏之便,探望開(kāi)設(shè)跆拳道館之好友大口(王青飾)。大口投其所好,贊成他在韓國(guó)盡情開(kāi)心,唯獨(dú)不能打其妹阿淑(李玄麗飾)主意。但機(jī)緣巧合之下西門(mén)巧遇阿淑,一見(jiàn)鐘情,阿淑更以身相許。誰(shuí)知西門(mén)對(duì)阿淑只是抱玩弄心情,西門(mén)假稱(chēng)要返香港,實(shí)則回到大口處向其炫耀其風(fēng)流史。恰巧阿淑來(lái)到探望兄長(zhǎng),聞言傷心欲絕,大口卻氣到七竅生煙。淑獨(dú)自躲到雪山,西門(mén)冒雪崩危險(xiǎn)尋覓阿淑。結(jié)果,兩人幾經(jīng)艱辛脫險(xiǎn)后,有情人終成眷屬。
