Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　叉燒（鄭丹瑞 飾）是一個不務(wù)正業(yè)的小青年，整體裝神弄鬼騙錢。一天，叉燒的一個租客——在夜總會當媽媽桑的大B（葉德嫻 飾）的家里來了一個客人，她美麗的外甥女云云（邱淑貞 飾）。大B用盡千方百計將美麗的云云哄到夜總會當舞女，想著從她身上大賺一筆。一個晚上，黑社會老大炮哥到夜 總會消遣時遇到了云云，炮哥垂涎她的美色，找人把云云捉走了。怎知誰也料不到云云這個弱女子竟然擁有超能力——會噴火，關(guān)鍵時候她用自己的超能力脫身了。不久叉燒就得知了云云的這個本領(lǐng)，于是，一個壞主意計上心頭……
