劇中所敘述的是:畫(huà)家水木讓二曾經(jīng)是個(gè)風(fēng)行一時(shí)的女性畫(huà)家，他壓服心儀的女性但當(dāng)模特，與她們發(fā)作關(guān)系后又轉(zhuǎn)而丟棄，一心撲在畫(huà)作上。但他的事業(yè)在高峰期呈現(xiàn)拐點(diǎn)，從此成為一名無(wú)家可歸的漂泊漢。水木偶然將四周的事物畫(huà)在廢紙板上，然后標(biāo)價(jià)出賣(mài)，抑或是整天游蕩街頭，無(wú)所事事。某天，銀座岡本畫(huà)廊的女經(jīng)紀(jì)人橘今日子發(fā)現(xiàn)水木的畫(huà)，即可為他的才氣所服氣。她百般勸說(shuō)水木與之簽約，以至甘愿擔(dān)當(dāng)水木的模特。
