 《月光男孩》導(dǎo)演巴里·杰金斯日前敲定新片，他將把知名作家詹姆斯·鮑德溫的小說(shuō)《假若比爾街能夠講話》(If Beale Street Could Talk)搬上大銀幕，故事設(shè)定于上世紀(jì)70年代的紐約哈林區(qū)，主角是一對(duì)剛訂婚的年輕情侶芬尼(Fonny)和蒂什(Tish)。芬尼被誣告強(qiáng)奸，而身懷六甲的蒂什將四處奔走尋找證據(jù)證明丈夫的清白。梅根·埃里森創(chuàng)立的安納普爾納將投資本片，也將和《月光男孩》制片公司Plan B、杰金斯本人的Pastel工作室一同制作本片，10月開拍。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
