平侍出身、獨(dú)眼的劍豪丹下左馬之介（森山未來 飾），奉相馬家當(dāng)主大膳亮（每熊克哉 飾）之命，前往江戶小野冢道場奪取傳說中的一對(duì)妖刀“乾云丸”與“坤龍丸”。他以忠義為念拼死挑戰(zhàn)，卻在激斗中失去了右臂。幸得通緝犯阿藤（黑木華 飾）與與吉（加藤諒 飾）相救，奇跡般地存活下來，化名“丹下左膳”重生。此后，圍繞妖刀的陰謀不斷擴(kuò)大，敵人接踵而至，連町奉行大岡忠相（高橋克典 飾）也卷入其中——一場關(guān)乎忠義與命運(yùn)的江戶風(fēng)云由此展開。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

　　與丈夫（安東尼·拉帕格利亞飾）慶祝完結(jié)婚25周年后不久，丈夫出差在外，達(dá)西（瓊·艾倫）在車庫找電池，卻無意中發(fā)現(xiàn)丈夫就是新聞中說的“臭名昭著的連環(huán)殺手比蒂”。　　影片的小說藍(lán)本是金2010年出版的短篇小說集《暗夜無星》（Full Dark, No Stars）中的一篇。金在接受采訪時(shí)說，小說的靈感來自于2005年被捕的美國“BTK連環(huán)殺手”丹尼斯·雷德（Dennis Rader），他就有一位結(jié)婚三十四年的妻子寶拉（Paula），對(duì)他的殺人行為毫不知情。金表示，小說探討的是，人與人之間永遠(yuǎn)不可能完全了解，即使是最愛的人也一樣。
