Ruby is a young part-time stripper who wallows in drugs, sex and other excesses in meaningless existence. After meeting with local drug dealer O-Rock in her apartment, she seduces him, takes his drug stash, and splits. In a snowy park, Ruby meets Opala, another young woman who takes her back to her large and posh country house where both women indulge in more drugs and sex with one another. When Opala leaves for work, and to score more drugs, Ruby, left alone, becomes more crazy and desperate and falls deeper into her addiction by contacting a stripper co-worker to score more dope. Meanwhile, the drug dealer O-Rock, finding that Ruby has stolen his secret stash of dope, arms himself with a knife and some deadly narcotics, and goes out seeking payback... with interest.

　　共に海洋學(xué)者を父に持つ健一とヘレンは父親と一緒に謎の飛行物體が海に降りるところを目撃する。４人はボートで現(xiàn)場(chǎng)へ向かったが、突然海中からの光線を浴びて見(jiàn)知らぬ場(chǎng)所へと連れ去られてしまう。そこは宇宙船の中であった?，F(xiàn)われた女性は自らをジグラ星人と名乗り、自分達(dá)の優(yōu)れた科學(xué)力を証明するためと言って彼らの目の前で東京にマグニチュード１３の大地震を発生させた。未曾有の大災(zāi)害中、ジグラ星人は人類に降伏を要求した。海に住むジグラ星人は、自分達(dá)の星の海を公害で汚してしまったために移住先として美しい海を持つ星を探し、４８０光年離れた地球を見(jiàn)つけたのだと言う。ジグラは海を占領(lǐng)するだけでなく人類を食料にしようと目論んでいるのだ。子供達(dá)は宇宙船からなんとか脫出したが、彼らを追ってジグラ星人を名乗る女性も上陸した。一方、ガメラの火炎攻撃を受けた宇宙船は爆発し、海中を飛ぶように移動(dòng)する銀色の怪獣が現(xiàn)われた。これが本當(dāng)のジグラ星人の姿であった。母星との水圧の違いからジグラは見(jiàn)る間に巨大化する。ガメラは戦いの場(chǎng)をジグラが苦手とする地上に移すが、光線の連射を浴びて海中に倒れてしまった。身動(dòng)き一つできないガメラ。防衛(wèi)軍の攻撃ではジグラに対して全く効果がない。最後の希望としてガメラを救助に向かった健一達(dá)４人も、逆にジグラに１萬(wàn)メートルの日本海溝へと引き摺り込まれてしまった。４人を人質(zhì)に取られた防衛(wèi)軍総司令は遂に降伏を決意した……?！　∈聦g上、昭和ガメラシリーズの最終話となる第７作。鴨川シーワールドとのタイアップにより、海中以外のシーンの大半はシーワールド內(nèi)のものである。ただしジャイガーの時(shí)ほど制作費(fèi)は掛けられなかったため、戦闘シーンも海中と海岸に限られ、街中のシーンがないのが殘念であった。ストーリーとしては、同時(shí)期に公開(kāi)された東寶の『ゴジラ対ヘドラ』と同じく、海の汚染を大きな柱とし、公害の恐ろしさを訴えた作品であるが、対ギロンや対ジャオガーと比べて內(nèi)容に若干まとまりがなく、個(gè)々の展開(kāi)も妙にあっさりしている感がある。相手の動(dòng)きを止めることで簡(jiǎn)単に宇宙船から脫出できたシーンや、４人を人質(zhì)に取られただけで現(xiàn)場(chǎng)の司令が全人類を代表して簡(jiǎn)単にジグラに降伏してしまうところなど、當(dāng)時(shí)の子供達(dá)でも“冗談じゃない”と思ったはずである。もっとも子供を人質(zhì)に取られると人類全部が降伏してしまうのはガメラシリーズの特徴でもあり、“子供の命は地球より重い”を貫いているとも言えるが……。シリーズの他の作品と比較して特徴的なのは、ジグラ星人に操られた女性役を演じる八並映子の存在である。ビキニで街中を駆け回るシーンは當(dāng)時(shí)の小學(xué)生には隨分と刺激的であり、月面基地で研究にあたる地質(zhì)學(xué)者とは到底思えなかった。結(jié)果的に最終話となってしまったが、それは制作元の大映の倒産という不測(cè)の事態(tài)によるものであって、これを作成した時(shí)點(diǎn)ではガメラシリーズ自體は続きを作る予定であったため、特にシリーズ最終回を彩るものはない。これ以後、およそ９年後の『宇宙怪獣ガメラ』まで、またオリジナルと言う點(diǎn)では２４年後の『ガメラ　大怪獣空中決戦』までガメラは子供達(dá)の前からその勇姿を隠すのであった。
