寫小說的Hyo-seob從未真真正正出版過一本象樣的書，一次與人爭(zhēng)吵后被判入獄，深感自卑的他不斷被外界批評(píng)為三流作家，生活也很窘迫?？墒撬麉s愛上一個(gè)已婚女人。而另一個(gè)未婚女子深深地愛著這個(gè)小說家。未婚女子對(duì)作家的愛是毫無條件的，她以前是出版社的編輯，后來在電影院shou票，并同時(shí)打幾份工。他與作家約會(huì)時(shí)付咖啡錢，心甘情愿地借錢給作家，為他修改書稿。在作家三十五歲生日時(shí)，她帶著蛋糕和禮物來到作家的住處想給他一個(gè)驚喜，作家卻責(zé)怪未婚女子來之前不給他打電話。這時(shí)，已婚女人從作家的屋里沖出，作家急忙追趕，未婚女子告訴作家，她已做好為他奉獻(xiàn)一生的準(zhǔn)備，作家明確地告訴未婚女子，他深切地愛著這個(gè)已婚的女人。在街上，他對(duì)未婚女子大打出手，發(fā)泄著的自己的情緒，躲在一旁的未婚女子的男同事把這一幕盡收眼底，對(duì)未婚女子表達(dá)了愛意，失落的未婚女子與這個(gè)男同事發(fā)生了關(guān)系。
