　　典型都市女性Diana（鄭裕玲 飾）有著驕人的事業(yè)成績，也積極經(jīng)營著自己的愛情?？墒窍愀劢?jīng)濟(jì)不景氣，她與同公司的小職員韋大漢（曾志偉 飾）都在了裁員的名單上。韋大漢早年妻子因為好賭離家出走，丟下了女兒千華（楊千嬅 飾）及小兒子萬華需要供養(yǎng)。他向兒女隱瞞自己已經(jīng)被解雇的事實，可是Diana的出現(xiàn)讓千華及弟弟都知道了爸爸的真實情況。原來Diana的出現(xiàn)是想跟他們參加一個家庭制的游戲，只有勝出游戲，電視臺便會原價收購他們的負(fù)資產(chǎn)業(yè)。Diana是一個自私冷酷的人，在游戲的過程中，被大漢付出在兒女身上的感情而改變了她。千華也在游戲中與導(dǎo)演（陳奕迅 飾）產(chǎn)生了感情。游戲最終由他們勝出，可是千華親生母親的出現(xiàn)使局面徹底改變了……
