故事發(fā)生于20世紀(jì)30年代的法國。皮埃爾男爵（阿爾邦·卡雷 Alban Ceray 飾）看上去儀表堂堂，實際上是一個變態(tài)的受虐狂。妻子（碧姬·萊爾 Brigitte Lahaie 飾）無法滿足皮埃爾的性癖好，于是，皮埃爾只得將自己的所有激情都傾瀉在情婦的身上。常年遭受冷遇的男爵夫人性格難免有些扭曲而暴躁，她常常將自己的怒火發(fā)泄到家里的女傭愛麗絲的頭上，導(dǎo)致愛麗絲對女主人非常的不滿。 一天，愛麗絲的哥哥帶著一個名叫芬奇的男人來到了男爵家，此時皮埃爾男爵不在家，豪宅里只剩下手無縛雞之力的女人們。芬奇很快就馴服了愛麗絲，他的下一個目標(biāo)就是男爵夫人。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
