俠士朱仲(黃德斌 飾)四方云游,被指腹為婚的未婚妻柳絲絲一路相隨。二人經(jīng)過一座古廟,遇到古廟內(nèi)一個(gè)“燈草和尚”(成奎安 飾)——他能把自己的身體縮成燈草大小。朱仲與他相當(dāng)投契,兩人隨即結(jié)為好友。 是夜,朱仲發(fā)現(xiàn)古廟里一幅壁畫,畫中三個(gè)絕世美人翩翩起舞,如夢似幻,朱仲當(dāng)即神魂顛倒,求燈草和尚助他入畫,見壁畫美人一面。燈草和尚禁不住朱仲的哀求,再三囑咐后出手幫助。朱仲入畫后,果真見到了畫中美人綺夢(陳寶蓮 飾)及其兩個(gè)妹妹春夢、玉夢。朱仲與綺夢一夜銷魂后,得知她的身世,還知道此事背后的陰謀。后來朱仲為綺夢所救,幾經(jīng)辛苦終于出畫。他卻決定回到畫中,救出綺夢……

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
