　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

　　20世紀(jì)50、60年代，亨利·韋斯特博士（威廉·麥鮑瑟 William Mapother 飾）創(chuàng)建了靈學(xué)實驗室阿提克斯研究所，針對超能力、透視、讀心術(shù)、隔空取物等邊緣學(xué)科展開研究。雖然遭遇了無數(shù)的挫折與嘲笑，但是韋斯特博士仍堅持不懈朝著目標(biāo)前進。1975年，他的實驗室因某起騙局而被迫關(guān)閉，就在此時一個略顯神經(jīng)質(zhì)的女人朱迪思·溫斯黛德（萊亞·吉斯特德 Rya Kihlstedt 飾）被送到實驗室。她之前因傷而擁有了超能力，而其看似貨真價實的超能力迅速令見多識廣的科學(xué)家們大為折服。在這一過程中，朱迪思的能力不斷加強，甚至已經(jīng)到了失控的程度?！　∵@已遠遠超出了超能力的范疇，謎團背后惡魔的身影時隱時現(xiàn)……

　　這部災(zāi)難影片背景以現(xiàn)代日本為中心，主要描寫東京突然被一股莫名的濃霧所籠罩，整個都會好像一下子消失了似的，各地政府及科研人員因此極為震驚，急忙組織起來研究對策。但是人們卻無法穿越濃霧進入東京首都圈。這場濃霧形成了一個無法穿越的電磁屏障。而圈外的科學(xué)家們則在受損嚴(yán)重的軍用偵察機上得到靈感，利用即將到來的臺風(fēng)和雷暴雨，加上人工大功率電磁干擾機，終于化解了這場戲劇般的非自然危機?！　∵@原本該是一個不錯的富有戲劇張力的構(gòu)思，但拍出來的片子卻教人不敢叫好，劇中女記者的角色刻劃不具感染力，而她和男記者之間時好時壞的關(guān)系描寫也讓人感覺莫名其妙，確是讓觀眾感覺象一場霧。
