電腦公司經(jīng)理孫志輝（任達(dá)華 飾）白天是一名頗具職業(yè)素質(zhì)的體面白領(lǐng)，然而在夜晚，他卻是一名瘋狂迷戀電視臺女主播黃潔儀（翁虹 飾）的偷窺狂。孫志輝居住在黃潔儀公寓的對面，日日窺視后者的一舉一動，更在自己家中大玩角色扮演的游戲，幻想自己和黃潔儀是親密無間的甜蜜情侶，并不惜毆打?qū)S潔儀不敬的小流氓。在一次俱樂部活動中，孫志輝終于與黃潔儀及男友查理（王敏德 飾）見面，孫志輝妒火中燒，舉止失態(tài)，事后更打給黃潔儀騷擾電話并潛入黃家中，黃潔儀委托孫志輝在家中安裝保安系統(tǒng)，但并不能阻止孫變本加厲的騷擾，這段都市畸情開始向失控的地步發(fā)展……

　　As bacteriologist Lena (38) drives past a burning car, she hears a scream of a dying woman. Lena does not tell her boyfriend how much the incident distresses her, just as she does not talk about the stillbirth she recently had. Instead, she throws herself into her work, intrudes into the life of the deceased, begins an affair with the widower and gradually takes on the role of mother to their son. Her persistent insomnia causes her to lose control between dreams and reality. Finally she accepts the help of a whisperer and then finds her own way to cope with her loss
