 故事發(fā)生在塞內(nèi)加爾的大型建筑工地附近，晚上工人們與一名男子發(fā)生了沖突，男子的哥哥在工地因工傷喪生。

　　朱莉在巴黎一家豪華酒店打工，工作非常辛苦，還要努力照顧在鄉(xiāng)下的兩個(gè)孩子。后來(lái)，她得到了一個(gè)期待已久的工作面試機(jī)會(huì)，但一場(chǎng)全國(guó)性的罷工爆發(fā)了，導(dǎo)致公共交通系統(tǒng)陷入癱瘓。一直以來(lái)，朱莉努力在生活中維系著一種平衡，而這種脆弱的平衡被突發(fā)事件所打破。為了得償所愿，她冒著隨時(shí)都會(huì)碰壁乃至失去一切的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，開(kāi)始了一場(chǎng)與時(shí)間的瘋狂賽跑。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
